Sangeeta Venkatesh is a Post-Graduate in Biotechnology from M.S. University, Vadodara. She subsequently
worked as a researcher for four years at the Indian Institute of Science,Bangalore. As
COO for Svanishta,
she provides strong Research and Technology support to our consulting initiatives.
Independent of Svanishta, Sangeeta has her own Research and Freelance writing practice.She has several
publications - both technical and non- technical- to her credit.
Some of her notable assignments have been :

Working with a team led by Dr. Nirupam Bajpai (Economic Advisor to Prime Minister of India) at the Earth
Institute at Columbia University, New York and Dr. Shyama Ramani of INRA, France.
- Collaboration with Bishop's University, Quebec, Canada on an international biotech research project.
- Worked with 'Chillibreeze', an Indian firm focused on custom content development and e-publishing.
- As a freelance writer she has contributed to the Centre for Environment Education-News and Features
Services (CEE-NFS), Bangalore and the Bangalore-based national magazine Education World. Her articles have
also been published in the monthly magazine Life Positive and in newspapers such as Deccan Chronicle.
- She is also Research Director for a start up social enterprise 'Sociotech Innovation4Change' and sanitation
consultant to a tsunami rehabilitation project in Tamil Nadu, India.
- Sangeeta has also written and published a book- 'Celebrating the Earth- Stories about Prithvi'.
